General Information and Guidelines Short-Term Market Sentiment Liquid ETFs Big Cap Stocks High Beta Stocks Performance Review

Short-Term Market Sentiment:

Short Term (1-2 weeks):

What we WERE looking for was NASDAQ 2004 performance vs. NASDAQ 1992 (another Presidential Election year with a big run-up in the preceding December) as an "analog." (see our Wyckoff Method chart). While this scenario may be negated if the last week's run-up continues, we will monitor this scenario just a bit longer-- WHY? If we get a sell off somewhere in the next 30 days, (we admit that the chances are slim given the 1st Qtr Non-Farm Payroll data released on Friday), the expected late summer/fall run-up will be ferocious...again, as a reminder, the '1992 NASDAQ Analog' calls for a drift down into late May - early June time-frame, a basing period during the summer before a huge run-up into the 2004 Election/Year End.

Breadth and Volume Analysis (2-3 days):

On Monday, NASDAQ ratcheted up further and pushed its Breadth and Volume McClellan Oscillators into Extreme OverBought Zones(See our Timer chart).   NYSE led lower instead!!   The Intraday Volatility dropped to one of the lowest levels seen in 2004 (see our VIX / VXN Volatility Bands chart).

Action Items:
  1. We have added two brand new Big Cap trades: Citigroup(C) & Coca-Cola(KO).
  2. The majority of our trades recommendations are short...why, one should ask? Keep in mind, the SuperHornets are based on Momentum Reversals -- so on the way up, the system will look for establishing short positions and will tighten-up the entry stop orders as prices go parabolic and thus become unsustainable.
